Toyota wants to launch two electric vehicles in the US in 2021

Toyota announced last week that it plans to bring two all-electric vehicles to the US market by the end of 2021 in addition to a new hybrid model.

The decision represents a change in the direction of the Japanese company, which currently has no sales electric models, but only hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, which are vehicles powered by an external power source.

There is no word yet on what type of electric vehicles the automaker will place on the American market, but there are speculations that they are SUVs or crossovers, as demand for this type of vehicle is the fastest growing in the United States, except that they have more room for batteries. Another option is the all-electric version of the Prius, the most traditional hybrid on the market, or the Sienna minivan.

Toyota

In addition to electrified ones, the automaker also has a Mirai hydrogen car, which uses a technology that converts the hydrogen consumed in the process into water without emitting pollutants into the atmosphere. However, the sedan is only sold in a few states in America that already have a hydrogen supply infrastructure.
