OnePlus may launch a fitness tracker

OnePlus India on Monday suggested on Twitter that the company may have wearable fitness devices – a first for the company. The tweet was linked to Amazon India saying the device will have sleep technology and heart rate tracking. The news was previously seen by The Verge.

“This year, we’re here to help you achieve all of your fitness goals and make your life easier,” reads the tweet.

CNET has contacted OnePlus for more information and we will let you know when we have a response.

Whistleblowers also spread rumors about a potential new device. Ishan Agarwal speculates that the new device is a fitness bracelet that will launch on January 11 in India. Agarwal believes the strap – in addition to tracking sleep and heart rate – will feature an AMOLED touchscreen, an IP68 rating, 13 exercise modes, and up to two weeks of battery life. Last month, informant Mukul Sharma tweeted a photo of what the group could be.
