Bitcoin exceeds $ 17,000; growing by almost 140% per year

Bitcoin surpassed the $ 17,000 threshold for the first time since January 2018, gaining nearly 140% in 2020.

Bitcoin traded at $ 17,202.81 on Tuesday, up 2.86%.

In December 2017, the cryptocurrency worked for about $ 20,000.

Earlier, Japan’s central bank said it plans to begin experiments next year to see if it can issue the digital yen – a move that is taking place at other central banks that are accelerating the pace of development of their digital currencies.
